A heavy exhaust isn't all bad. Heavier material used in the piping will tend to "soak up" engine noise and yeild a deeper exhaust tone. Lightweight exhausts tend to be the opposite.[/b]

didnt know that either. but since the rx8 doesnt get much power gains out of exhaust i want something lighter than stock

Yea but I'll take lightwieght for AutoX. Good info though.

since your installing the greddy kit have you looked at the greddy evott exhaust? its more expensive but it might be better for turbo applications. it looks just as good too if not better - greddy evott exhaust

It's practically the same exhaust just catless with a resonator. The AP piping is 3" where as the Greddy is 2 3/4"

ya thats true. well the ap is a good choice. do you think the piping is too big for non turbo'd cars??

If your going cat back you'll have to make a transision peice flaring from the stock 2-2.5" to 3". I would assume that if you get a kit that's already setup for catback it should already be flared at the flange.

The kit removes the cats. so no worries there.

Oh yeah... On Rob's kit no problem then. Ffor any one else whose just doing cat back that's what'll need to happen.
