I'm def gonna be picking up a pair a walkie talkie thingys......recommend a make/model?

Apparently, any brand will do as long as you are able to synch on the same channel.
I am gonna pick up this one tomorrow at best buy. The price is all right, the range more than enough. Dunno about the quality, but I quite like motorola.
Let me know if you find a better deal.

Motorola is a great brand when it comes to almost everything they make, walkie talkies especially (cops use motorla's from what i understand). If you want to wait a bit before buying those i think (so far only myself and Guido are in arrogance) that us mods will be looking at picking up a enough walkies and splitting costs, maybe we can get everyone to chip in and it would amount to a small amount of money.

yes the mods need to have a tribunal do discuss the brands/models available for purchase. Once the top 5 are chosen a
rigorous 2 year test will be conducted to measure:durability, range, color, sex appeal and size. Then and only then can we pick a
walkie-talkie.. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

Well it sounds like you guys had a fun time,, sorta... Hopefully something else can get planned again sometime in the future that I can attend to.. With buying this house, I have been way to busy to get away.. but hopefully things slow down some so I can get out and play again....

Hey everyone, good to see and meet you all again! While the cruise was brutal at times it was very fun getting all together, hanging out and chatting like school girls on the walkie talkies. A localized cruise would be a very god idea, maybe up to Evergreen or something.

Climbing and walking through Bishops Castle was insane, couldn't believe how hairy that medevial deathtrap is just to get to the top! I showed my family the tape of our climb that I filmed up Bishops Castle... its hilarious cause I'm all cussing up a storm clmbing to the top. Also told them that you guys wouldn't let me climb that ladder to the death bridge thing. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

I can only imagine the world of hurt you guys are in.. I only had 220 miles total.. There was a pair of Z kids down from greeley.. I'm sure they had it the worst.

Well, thanks again for going out of your way to pick up little old me.. I'm glad I guessed correctly at Fountain Creek park..

Anh Bi, you do raise a good point about timing and organization and breaks..

I didn't have any pics. I thought my camera was charged, but I was sadly mistaken.

But anyways, nice to meet the lot of you, again in some cases, for the first time in others.

Trish, there was a spot when we were stuck behind those two cars on the way down the hill from the castle where I didn't touch my gas pedal for a good 5 minutes... that was kind of interesting.
