ok so i found out fort carson is not gonna help me out with the damage i got to my car and i cant get a aer (loan from the army 0%) to cover my deductable of 1k (stupid i know) so i looked up how much a fender would cost and i found some for about 100 bucks but they say that they fit 04-06 sedans and mine is a 08... any dealer guys, anyone really... know what changed on the fender if anything or did they just list it as 04-06, im thinking about buying the fenders and putting them on myself instead of having the body shop repair the ones on it now and replace the hood for 1800 total, i could do that and get a cf hood for cheaper

also anyone know were i might get those parts cheaper? ebay has them for 40 bucks plus 70 shipping for the 06 ones and VIS has the cf hood for like 6xx

Ed Clauss is not the tech lol. Dave Shakeshaft is the only certified tech at Burt Mazda on Arapahoe. His son is my roomate here at CU.

oh and also im gonna go with this hood since its a nice upgrade and i wont have to paint it http://www.visracing.com/newcatalog/Mazda-...oduct_info.html
just gotta get some hinges or figure out if i can fix mine

has anyone heard anything about that hood? it says you need pins but ive seen pics of it mounted without, does it have some sort of frame underneath where i could mount the bracket

nice hood!

Reason for the pins I believe is its so light at high speeds it can rip off.

See. Pins make sense for the lightness but I've seen plenty of cars without pins. Maybe it doesn't have a latch in the front.?
