Clifford-My Big Red F-250

Postby coloskydiver » Sun Dec 30, 2012 9:14

Awhile back I posted up a few pics of my new 2008 F-250 Super Duty. I have always wanted a diesel truck and have been working on getting it the way I want it an figures I start a thread with some pics.

I bought it pretty much stock with the exception of some rear air bags for towing. Since I have bought the truck I have done a bed liner, in dash navigation, replaced door speakers, powered subwoofer, DPf (diesel particulate filter) with cat delete, Spartan tuner, AFE intake, 2-1/2" lift and 20" XD Hoss wheels with BFG All Terrain 285/65/20 .

As I bought it:

I will have to say that this truck is bad ### and love it. It can pull a house off its foundation and is faster as hell. I pull the Miata up to the Flying Miata Summer Camp this summer in a 30' enclosed trailer and didn't even know it was behind me.

That looks sharp. Makes me want a S/C for the Tundra for some reason. Ha.

Best upgrade for sure. After putting the SC on my Nissan Frontier, I was upset because it should have been my first mod. Fun to drive, better gas mileage (at least in a V6), better towing and just plain cool. Save for it and you won't be disappointed. It is amazing what 5lbs of boost will do to a V8.

Thanks for the comments. I love the truck and find it hard to believe the gains you can get out of a diesel with a few simple mods and get 20+ mpg out of a truck this big.
