Use a secondary key switch like they have on wave runners, hook it to your waist so that if you get out of the car, the key goes with you and turns off your wideband. The other ideas are too simple:huh:

^LOL good grief. You're right though, that's not simple in the least lol.

Here are the pics of the radiator leak(s)...

On both sides of the top of the radiator fins, and it was dripping on the fans, so I'm hoping they're not actually going bad.

Now, while doing some research tonight on the water injection issue, I came across this...
http://www.rx7club.com/auxiliary-injection-173/another-option-pump-location-fd-959565/

I never thought of mounting my pump there. There's room, air flows by there so it won't get hot, it draws from the stock front tank which is quite a bit bigger than the rear tank, the hoses wouldn't be ran through or under the car, lower center of gravity AND it's inside the wheelbase, unlike now (not like the pump weighs enough to make a huge difference, I'm just being anal about this lol)...I think I'm gonna do this. That would also open up more room in the spare tire well for tools or whatever. The only thing is I'd rather drill the hole in the top of the tank like Dale did...
http://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/daleclarks-aem-water-meth-install-woo-960157/
...rather than in the bottom. That way there would be less chance of leaking. The only issue would be the pump not being self-primed, but I doubt that's that big of a deal. Either way, in order to have it coming out of the top rather than the bottom would be if I could find a fitting to fit my current hose size, and I'm not sure if the AEM one would fit. I'm trying to decide if I wanna do this before or after the Cali trip. I'm thinking before, since I would solve the issue of having too small a tank, hopefully.

I did pick up a plastic welder at Harbor Freight on the way home, and I ordered a tank from US plastics with about the same dimensions as the stock rear tank, that way I can hack each of them in half and heat them together to form one tank. But I ordered the tank right before seeing the thread and where that guy put his pump lol.

That line is too small. The line going to the pump is about 2 or 3 times larger.

I got the radiator back from Manley today. He epoxied the leaking area, I guess he wasn't able to get in there to weld it. Anyway, I put it back on the car and bled the cooling system, so I guess I'll see if it still leaks.

the epoxy usually works for something like that.

Yeah I asked him before I left if it was a fix that would last a while or if I needed to be looking for a new radiator and he told me it would be good for a long time. He also only charged me $20. Better than paying $500 for a new one.

I did see a lot of steam coming off the radiator while I was bleeding the coolant system, and at first I thought it might have been due to the epoxy, but I did run some water through it before reinstalling and got a lot on the fins, so I'm guessing the heat was just steaming it off.

That didn't work either, but I noticed my engine stays the same temp now.

LOL jk, I'd never use that crap. I did buy some several years ago but I never used it.

Oh man stop leak is the devil. I have personally seen more than a few motors die from it. The stuff is just horrible!!!!!

Yeah it's a temporary fix on a now-temporary engine lol.

This radiator issue is really pissing me off. I haven't taken the fans off yet to see where it's leaking, but I'm sure it's in the same spot because my fans are still making the noise they were making before. Either way, I'm looking for a new radiator but I don't think I can find one exactly like this one anymore. The closest one is probably the RX7store version for $580 (yikes!), but the mounts might be too far forward for my tow hook, so I'm not even sure it will work yet. Plus I'm pissed that I'll have to remake my ducting again. ARGH!!!

I think I'm going to wait on moving my water injection stuff until this winter. I don't want to start that project and end up missing SS15, but if I'm going to miss it due to the radiator anyway I might go ahead and get started on it.

Temporary engine? Didn't you just rebuild it lol?

Edit, nevermind, you meant using stop leak would make an engine temporary. I got it finally. Lol.

take it back to the radiator shop and tell him it's still leaking.
