Just getting started

Postby Kovacsteps » Sat Aug 11, 2012 9:14

What up erebody,

Had no idea that there were other Mazdanatics out there. I just bought a 2012 3 iTour coupe. LOVE it. Black with black interior. I am starting the process of customizing it. My car is black with black interior. Step 1. tonight is dropped in my HIDs. Step 2. This week I a smoking the lights all the way around and pulling crome logos to paint the, gloss black. Step 3. Cold air intake and exhaust and a procession chip. Step 4. peel the tint the previous guy put on and going to 15%. Step 5. tinted plate covers. I know they are illegal but so is everything else i am doing. Haha 5.0 bitches. Step 6. looking to pull all the honey comb plastic inserts out of the stock grill and body kit and replacing it with some black mesh. Step 7. next summer powder coated flat black rims with some low pros. Step 8. Replace the ugly ### tan roof cover and air bag holders with black. Step 9. replace stock stereo with 8" display and attaching a 500gb external drive with all my digi media on it. Step 10. Adding blue LED step protectors in the door steps and carbon fiber in the lower jams. Step 11. skirt kit. Step 12. leather.

Basically I'm gonna murder this car.

Any one have additional ideas.

lol at double post.

the only thing that caught my eye in the list was the chip you plan to add. I personally don't like the idea of "chips". All i'll say is make sure you've done MAD research on it before you plug something into your car.

I'm not totally sure what the deal is with the plate covers, as i'm still rocking FL plates and use that as my excuse when i'm lost. lol.

Other Ideas: CorkSport Intake, Ground out throttle body, short shifter

Excuse to get pulled over. They aren't legal. If you want to double your chances, remove your front plate, too.

OEM rims/tires

Postby Kovacsteps » Sat Sep 01, 2012 9:14

Sense people are replying. Maybe someone can answer this.

I am looking to get new rims/tires and want to sell my OEM alloys. I have about 90% tread left on tires and aside from a small rash on left front the rims are if mint condition. What should I ask for them?

well, common price for speed rims (18's) are in the range of 500 w/o tires, and 750-850 w/ tires depending on type of tires.

They are the stock rims and tires for the iTour sedan.

IMO, there really isn't to much call for the 17" stockers, so i would just keep them for the winter, so you don't jack up the ones your going to spend your hard earned cash on.

FYI, when you do get some rims, i have some 225/40-18's in the garage i'll shoot your way for a nominal price. lol
