I sold the RPF1s a while back already, and I'm keeping my current wheels as well lol.

I don't think I have $100 to my name, lol.

Whatever lol.

Got the battery and everything installed tonight. I drove around for the first couple hours after work trying to find some 4 gauge terminals with something closer to 5/16" holes but wasn't so lucky, so I just used washers on top of the terminals when I bolted them on.

It's not EXACTLY like Dave's setup...my battery is in a slightly different position lol.

Now I just have to find some plastic or something to use to cover the well so I can put the carpet in and it won't droop. I'm going to put tools and parts back in here too, but that will take up most of the room. I guess I'll start putting the fluids in the rear bins since they won't fit under the cover.

Also, last night I did a temporary fix of the oil cooler ducting that was coming apart (basically wrapped more tape around it lol), I hooked up a ground wire to AN2 of the datalogit so hopefully I can start logging AFRs while tuning, and I fixed the map pocket lid on the driver's door (one of the hinge/studs kept breaking off and I'd superglue it back on, but this time I drilled a small hole and put a dowel pin in there).

I'd use lexan. Extremely durable and can be molded using heat if you so desire.

Great Idea. I used black ABS that I found at a local plastics company (south Sante Fe around Bellview). Found it was easy to shape using modest heat from a propane torch. It did not discolor and had a crinkle finish on one side and smooth on the other. For one job I built a simple "buck" out of wood and formed around it.

I had a sheet of black ABS plastic that I bought back in 2009 but I let someone borrow it and now I don't remember who it was. I thought it was Oscar but he said it wasn't him. I asked John too but he said the same thing.

I was planning on making a sheet to go across the whole rear area there, but maybe what I'll do is just do a piece in a circle and have a few edges come down just inside the wheel well to support it, kinda like the little "tables" they sometimes put in the middle of a pizza box to support the lid. I was originally planning on making it somewhat like the FEED luggage box for this area...fiberglassing the bottom of the well and putting a hinged lid on top. I'm gonna think about possibilities but now I have to see if I can find a place that sells sheets of plastic. Now I can't find the place I bought it from back in 2009.

I also just paypal'd Fritz Flynn for some N-Tech brake duct backing plates for the rotors. These are discontinued (I think the company no longer exists actually) and they're extremely hard to find. Later I'll post up the pic he sent me.

I like using a big sheet of ABS plastic to cover the spare tire well and give it enough support I can set stuff on it. I could cut it and hinge it too so it's easy to open. Let me know if you find a place selling a big sheet of plastic let me know, I will look too.

I think FEED has something like that with a hinge. That would be the way to go.

They do, it's the luggage container. It's carbon fiber and super expensive, like $2k brand new. They are rare but I've seen a few for $500+ on 7club, still not cheap. Plus, it lines the floor of the tire well so we would have to remove out batteries and stuff and redo it all. Plus I wouldn't want to hack up something so nice! Lol

Yeah I mentioned the FEED luggage container, glad you both are paying attention LOL!!!

I couldn't do a FEED container though because it would hit my water injection pump. Speaking of which, I ran the tank for the water injection dry on Sunday. I checked the fluid level today and it was all the way down below where the pump draws from. OOPS!!! I hope I didn't cavitate the pump too bad.

Dave, I'll let you know if I find somewhere. I think the place I got it from in 2009 is closed now. I'm not worried about it having enough support though. I have that area full of tools and a few other things now too, so it will be fully supported. I may still do the hinge thing, but I'm bolting it down on 3 of the 4 corners.

I went to Wal-Mart tonight to pick up some things for this little project. Mainly I needed a smaller jumper cable so it would also fit in the spare tire well. Then I decided to get a duffle bag or something into which I can put my plastic tool case and anything else that wouldn't fit in the tire well. Turns out my tool case is a bit large for a duffle bag, or any bag that will fit under the rear strut bar for that matter. So I ended up getting a smaller Stanley tool kit, and some cheap wrenches because that kit didn't have any, along with the smaller jumper cable and a little travel bag to put that into (to keep it small). I walked in expecting to get just the jumper cable and a duffle bag...I left spending $130 lol. I brought it all home and decided my original took kit might actually fit into the duffle bag I'd seen, and that I had more stuff that I needed to put into that bag, so I went back to Wal-Mart and checked to see if my tool kit actually would fit into the duffle bag. Nope. Would it fit into a bigger bag with solid walls? Nope. So I decided to get the bigger bag with solid walls anyway, and return the smaller bag. I also decided to return the wrenches since I could fit some I already own into the bigger bag and I also decided to get some water bottles that won't spill so I can put my extra washer fluid in them. Luckily the bigger bag cost a little less than the smaller one, so with the water bottles I think I probably broke even LOL.

OK for some reason Photobucket will not accept my pic of the brake duct backing plates, so I attached it.

I think this is the place I got my stuff years ago (though the name doesn't ring a bell - may have changed - or it's a senile thing). They had sheets in many sizes (thin to thick).

1/4 is THICK! Think the stuff I was using was less than an eighth. Had some beefy stuff but that was only 3/16 or so.

Most can be run dry without any lingering issues. What system are you running again? Tank size, nozzle size?

That's how Wal-Mart work. I walk out with my chest puffed out if I go in there to get milk and eggs, and walk out with just milk and eggs. Though that's a rare occasion. They normally get some extra unforecast-ed spent funds from me.
