got a fuel cut the other day at WOT gettin on the freeway. i really need to get a new HPFP or at least some internals. should some upgraded internals make that big of difference and eliminate the cuts? Idk if its the altitude or what but i seem to not get fuel cuts when i use a AP stage 2 map, but when i use a stage 1 map i get them more often. Iv been in summit county all year using a stage 2 map and had no problems. then i moved back to denver and went back to stage 1 to take it easy on my engine and i got a fuel cut for the first time in about a year. im about to move to LA and i really want to get the ms6 workin properly b4 i go. thanks for the input!!

Having just installed a set of internals and not long ago a CP-e pump, let me highly recommend the CPE pump. Yeah, its not cheap, but it works and I am just not sure about the internals. The set of internals I just put in a car shows no sign of failure but the car is having symptoms very similar to fuel cut. So let me say again, go for the CPE if you can. However, if you want to try a pump with internals, I am sure something could be worked out with the owner of the pump here at the shop.

Easy way to know if it's the internals that are causing it is to monitor your DI fuel pressure. See if it's dropping below 1600psi at WOT. If it is, then you need to upgrade your fuel pump. If it isn't, then it's something else, likely in the tune. The HPFP upgrade is still a good idea in the long run, this is just a way to find out if that is what's causing your cuts right now.

To add to that, make sure your sensor is reading correctly, ie pressure rising and falling logically. The sensor not reading correctly will not always set a code, but can cause the car to think it needs fuel cut.

Also, if your having fuel cut on one map and not the other, check the MAF scaling as well as MAF output. Fuel cut is triggered by a variety of parameters, including MAF voltage/output.

Log DI fuel pressure with your AP. If fuel pressure is solid it can be a few other things.
