Query: When is a racial joke warranted?

The dude at the DMV this am:

I'm the first one there, followed by 2 others. We were literally standing outside the front door, waiting for them to open. Go inside and the two people follow. You'd think the order would be 1, 2, 3- right? So myself and #2 go to the counters, while #3 sits down and waits for the next available. This db comes in and snags a ticket. The counter calls 'next' so #3 heads over. The guy who came in late, full well knowing that he wasn't next jumped in front and said, "you got the next ticket?". #3 was like, "dude, I was here before you" and the db was like, "yeah, but you don't have the next ticket...I do...that's how this works" and sits down (at the counter) like he owns the place. #3 just is blown away by the rudeness and arrogance...and just goes back to his seat.

So afterwards, I'm in the parking lot and the same db gets in his car. I pull out to leave and he darts out in front of me, cutting me off. Then he turns back into the parking lot, rather than leaving as I was. So why in the heck did he cut me off, only to go in a direction where there were plenty of options for him to go (meaning, he didn't need to cut me off). I'll tell you why-- cause he's a dick.

I'm not sure how or why people like that choose to behave that way...

I'm surprised you didn't recognize me. Must have been the white sunglasses and flat billed hat cocked off to the side.:D

I always thought the land of white rocks was a "freindly" place to live, but apparently not...actually, I'm fooling nobody, because, eveyone knows that HR is full of arrogant DBs (men and women). For what reason, I have no idea.

yes, yes I would, but I don't want to be out-classed in these departments all the time by people who do live there.

Nate, I would have had a hard time not ripping that dude's head off. I can't stand inconsiderate people.

Stupid people behind the counter at the bank grind my gears.

I went to Security Service tonight to close my account because they keep coming up with new ways of stealing from me. Somehow I had an overdraft I didn't know anything about and I had gotten some mail while I was home on leave saying I owed them money. Hmmmm. I went in and talked to the guy behind the desk to the side and he said my overdraft was $113 and some change. He set me up with one of the office people. After a few minutes she called me in and then told me that the tellers could help me close my account. No worries, no big deal. I go to the teller and I told him I needed to pay off the overdraft on the account and that I was closing the account. I told him to use my debit card from my other bank and he said he'd have to do a cash advance and asked me if my bank charged a fee for that. I told him I didn't know and didn't figure it would be too much if they did so go ahead. So he uses it to pay off the overdraft of $113, I sign some stuff and I figure I'm done. Then he asks me how I want to pay off the balance of $40 and some change...

:huh::mad::mad::mad:

...um, I guess the debit card you just used on the other part YOU DIPSHIT! If I'm closing my account and trying to make good on all debts, why in the HELL would you not just put it all together and do it once?!!! I said "well I sure hope they don't charge me for a cash advance" and he just kinda giggled and then asked if I wanted to call the bank to check first. Well I didn't the first time genius, and if you'd have been paying attention I wouldn't have to.

HOLY SHIT the stupidity of some people.

Did you take a bunch of free lollipops at least? (which grinds my gears...why can't there be a healthy treat available)

I can relate. I often embarrass my wife since I have a hard time not taking people to task on their inability to provide service of the caliber I demand. Unfortunately, it never really gets the issue resolved to any satisfaction, but at least I feel better.

I say what other people think :mellow:.
