I glazed the clutch so bad on a 1/4 mile run that I had to coast down the strip because it was soo hot the rpms would just jump and the car wouldn't move. Let it cool down for a bit. Listened to a couple ignorant Chevy guys tell me "that clutch be done". Then took it for a slow drive to break off the "crunchies" as my brother calls it. Waited another hour or so then made another 1/4 mile pass. Held fine. That was around 25k if I am not mistaken and well before I was putting down obscene torque on e85 and the 3076 @ around 50k. Never once slipped even when I pushed the car as far as I could at 26psi. Moral of the story? The MS3 stock clutch is beastly and you should be fine like everyone said.

Just echoing what everyone else has said... Sure sounds like you significantly overheated (quite significantly) the clutch and it faded away for a while.
It's come back and should be fine. Yeah, you probably took a bunch off its life, but you're not the first and not the only.

I hate clutch fumes. You can taste it. Geh.

And just because the clutch is toast or will be, doesnt mean you should trade it in! Just buy replacement, bribes friends or forum members with beer and food for clutch party, and whammy! on the road again.

Wait, whaa!? I *just* saw this...fuuu
Considering i was the only other person with an MS3 there, I had this in the bag (not suggestive). That said, I'm pretty sure I would have won the lowest mileage contest too, sigh.

Geo you have a nice looking 3.

Also since tut doesn't drive his, he would definitely be your best bet for a donor when the time comes.

Is the picture below your posts taken at your estate out in the country? It looks great.

Sidebar: Thanks deck. It was taken at my bro's 'quaint' residence. That's a tennis court to the left. I've never played on it though, sigh.
