Yes it has a guide bit but just like you I had already drilled a 3/4" hole so the guide did little to help me haha
Still heard nothing from Himni, so pending any communication from them I'm filling a dispute Wednesday.
My new car!

I got a hold of Himni today and they told me that my package was put together on the 22nd and they only ship on Thursdays witch was the 24th but it was thanksgiving so they were close that day. He told me my package is shipping out tomorrow and they will provide a tracking number. The guy was very friendly and nice about it. Dave give them a ring and see whats up.

Well, I just got an email from Himni claiming my package was shipped and they gave me a USPS tracking that doesn't work. I'll give the number 48 hours to be active or I'm filing a dispute. I just don't want to let them off the leash.
One thing I'm debating, which I'm sure I'll get plenty of opinions about: apex seals. I'm planning on ordering the Atkins kit, which obviously comes with Atkins seals. Originally, I was just getting the Atkins kit with special Cryo-treated Atkins seals, but they do give you an option to omit apex seal in the kit, so this got me thinking about getting ALS seals. At the time, ALS seals are more rare than the probability of Eric keeping the same wheels on his FD for 2 years so I decided against and I would order the cryo-treated Atkins seals.
But now as I'm getting ready to order the kit I have found some ALS seals for about $405 shipped. This makes them about $185 or so more than the Atkins cryo seals. I've heard great things about ALS seals but are they worth the premium? I know Eduardo runs them but anyone else? I'm having a hard time finding solid info on them that isn't "Kool-Aid" honestly, or people just relaying the hype. I hear they are "unbreakable" but doesn't that just mean I'll damage a housing or rotor which is more expensive than an apex seal?
I haven't heard anything really bad about the Atkins seals, so I'm not too worried. I'm not trying to nickle and dime this project at all, I do want the best seals I can get this side of ceramic, so if ALS is the way to go, I'll do it. I do plan on running about 15lbs of boost on my normal street settings and then up to 20-22psi when I want to go real fast.

They usually don't for a day or so after items ship, they aren't as real time as UPS and FEDEX tracking #s

I got my tracking number today as well but mine said the Item has been accepted at the post office.
The reason I went with the ALS seals is because I've talk to a couple rotary drag racers in PR including my cousin and brother in law and most of them run ALS or Ceramic seals. Mind you they run 30+ psi of boost and when they rebuild the seals would still be in perfect conditions. They are not brittle like other seals, they are soft and i learn this the hard way; so is not going to hurt the hurt the housing when you blow the engine.

Hey! I'll have you know those first RPF1s were on my car for just over 2 years LOL!!
Rich was going to use ALS seals in my build but decided against it because he hadn't heard much as far as reviews, whether good or bad, and he didn't want to use something unproven. He did say that they were supposedly softer and therefore wouldn't break, but wouldn't damage the housings either. That's pretty cool actually. I like the idea of the NRS(?) seals too but I've heard they break a little TOO easy, since they basically just disintegrate when they break. That's cool and all, but I don't want to break a seal every 5k miles and have to rebuild all the time. Rich ended up using RA Super Seals, which is why he suggested premixing as well as using the OMP. But I think you made the right decision.

Eccentric Performance on eBay, he also sells on 7club under the username of "allrotor". I ordered a part from him before on 7club and didn't provide a tracking number and when I asked for it he got all butthurt. He also said he wouldn't ship it until I paid the PayPal fees (I thought that was against forum rules, but oh well) so I had to send him another $8 bucks or whatever. Pretty lame.
I got the product all well and good, but he was slow to respond to PM's and then completely stopped after the sale.
I felt better going through eBay since they have much better buyer protection standards and recourse's I can go through to get my money back. Plus I earn eBay bucks haha.
Here's a link, he only has 3 sets left (in case anyone is interested):

I've really heard nothing but good stuff about ALS seals right now, so I feel pretty confident using them. Most engine builders are now offering them as well. They could very well be internet/forum hype but I trust those PR guys, they are crazy!!! (I mean that in a good way Eduardo).
NRS seals are gangster but way out of my price range. I can't justify $570 PER SEAL (times 6 seals, that's $3,420 for a complete set of 2-piece 2mm NRS ceramic seals) plus ceramic corner seals, side seals, etc if you want to do it right. Ceramic seals DO seal the best, but they also don't like a lot of boost.

I mean there are facts behind the seal, if you doubt about a seal that is being used on 7 or 8 second cars i don't know what to tell you. Also saw on the forums that a guy cracked the front plate and the seals were intact. Dave be very carefull when you handle them, don't drop them or anything like that. I F one up trying to take a housing out. By the way Edgar Lopez reaplace it at no cost, so great customer service there.

Allrotor is in NC right? I've talked to him about an engine he had one time. I didn't know he had an ebay store.
I lol'd at the PR comment HAHA. True though, and yes, in a good way lol.
Yeah it sounds like ALS seals are just as good and way more reasonably priced than NRS seals anyway. I think you're making the right choice. I kinda wish Rich had gotten them for me now haha. It seems kinda odd that you can't drop them, but they can be in an engine that cracks a plate and be just fine. LOL!!
