We still meet up in the winter, sometimes every week, or sometimes every other week. But even if we don't have a meet, many of us hang out a lot of the time anyway. Hell, 3 of us live together LOL. Our home is always open to rotary lovers...and Frank I guess HAHAHAHA. Anyway, the meets aren't always with the cars because the weather is not always good enough, but usually when it's not snowing we will still bring the cars out, as long as the roads aren't too bad. It's not as bad as you're probably thinking. We do get hail every now and then, but from what I've seen it's been only a couple times, once in 2008 and another in 2010. We just had some a few weeks ago right before I deployed but it wasn't bad enough to damage cars. And actually the one in 08 I don't think damaged any either. As long as you have a garage and insurance it shouldn't matter anyway haha.
Steve comes out to Denver every now and then to do tuning sessions. Mike B was just saying he was going to come out for someone with an RX-8 and Mike said he was going to try to get him out again next Spring to tune.
The name of the shop out in KS is Jesse Prather Motorsports, their family has been in SCCA racing for years and Jesse is quite successful in it, his shop looks clean and capable, lots of nice cars in the shop as well ive been there when ppl have come with their SCCA spec miatas getting tuned and seen them working on Jesse's FC race car, his miata is also quite a car. Jesse seems like hes very passionate about his work too and his work is quality. Back before I first moved to KS I got on RX7club and asked about shops, much like im asking on here and there about CO, and I was told of jesse's shop and ive seen people mention his shop on other threads too with high reguard. His shop also luckily is in the same town as where my parents live which is nice. He rebuilds, ports, tunes, all that stuff. Had my mother take my car to the shop to have it checked out because I wasnt home she even had nothing but nice things to say about him, ive spoken with him many times in email and visited his shop a few times when I was on mid tour leave and id def trust him with my FD.
