Although the burger came out grey...it was still PLENTY JUICY.

I felt as though I needed to disclose the fact that there wasn't a pinkish hue as to be expected.

Black, ha ha ha

That is doable, especially in an hour. However, since I don't eat bread, I wonder if that would disqualify me. Would have to go veggies and salad...

I just went to IKEA for lunch today and got some Swedish meatballs. Pretty good for $2.99.

Well it was still busy but not too bad. I parked in the garage and pretty close to the enterance. But then again, I went at 11am on a Monday. Since school is back in, it probably shouldn't be as busy during the day. Or you can try 1-2 hrs before they close, they shouldn't be busy then.

The streets are still coned off but I don't think it's necessary anymore.

Ha ha, that's what the "dude" was talking about.

I still haven't been over there yet. Probably wait another few months, before the tut makes an appearance.

M&Ds Barbeque

Postby Shadowden » Tue Aug 30, 2011 9:14

http://www.mdbbqfish.com/

Located on Race Street near Denver's City Park, M&D's is true southern barbeque. The biggest plate is the "Q" Combination, which is a daunting task for even the biggest of eaters. The meat is juicy and tender, and they offer a selection of three sauces, mild, medium, and spicy. Spicy is actually spicy, and I don't reccomend it in large quanities. I have attacked the "Q" Combination before.

However today I hade the Rib tip platter for $10.12, which is half the price of the "Q" and was plenty of food, even for me. A more than generous portion of rib ends served over some unique fries. I would swear they were tempura fries, but that probably isn't right. The menu calls them pepper fries. Whatever they are or however they are done, they are good.

Report on the sweet tea was that it was made right. I opted for water. The lemonade there is amazing though, so if you like arnold palmers, give that a try.

Go HUNGRY!

Update: Went to the Dusty Boot again. For scientific reasons, I ordered the same thing as last time. I found the meal to be quite tasty....again.

I've read (elsewhere) that people find this place to be hit or miss.

I know this won't really help anyone out with local restaurants, but this weekend I'm going to Tulsa to run the Mustang at a track that is <1000' above sea level. While I'm there I will be sampling the eats at the Rib Crib (http://www.ribcrib.com/) and Braum's (http://www.braums.com/). I'll post my thoughts here.
2015 Ironman Silver Veloster Turbo - Bone stock and staying that way
1990 Crystal White Miata - Beater - Bignose 1.6L Swap, Robbins Top w/Glass Window, E-Codes, Air Horns, Brembo Rotors

Former Rides:
2011 Kona Blue Mustang GT 5.0
2009 True Red Mazdaspeed3 GT

I miss Braums, they were everywhere when I lived in Texas.

Hit up Salsa Bravo on broadway and dad clark drive in HR (more or less)
It is the new happening place which replaced Dewey's.

took 3 times before we were actually able to get in, we didn't feel like
waiting 45 min for a table, even tho we were told it was "worth the wait".

I ordered the chicken soft tacos (read chicken sandwich). They were
pretty good. The wife had a margarita and a chimichanga. The drinks were small and watered down, her dish was pricey and just okay.

Will we go back? probably not. There are better, cheaper mexi places around.
