Wires cut in your car when the stereo was stolen?

You will probably need to find a wiring diagram.

http://mazda-speed.com/faq/audio/#Round

Go to that link and scroll up just above where the page loads and it tells you what color does what. If all else fails, red is usually ignition power, yellow constant power, black is ground, and the speaker wires you can easily figure by taking a 9V battery, connecting a ground wire to the negative terminal, and tapping one of the speaker wires on the positive terminal and seeing which speaker clicks. Then just use same tape or something and label each wire and there you go.

odds are you have the CN701 connector (type 1) from the link that erod posted being you have a 90. if it doesnt look right follow this diagram.

if you want an amazing sounding stereo. buy a pair of 6.5 speakers for the doors. and a set of 3" or 3.5" speakers a roll of wire. and drive on down. you dont need a sub with this setup. and it gives you rear speakers in the headrests. so you have full surround. and i did it to my last miata and its cheap and amazing sounding provided you get medium to high end speakers... whatever you do dont cheap out on the 3" otherwise its all tinny and sounding like somone is blowing a rape whistle in your ears.

Weird, so the ground is red and the constant 12v is black? That is some backwards stuff right there, heh.

Where'd you buy the deck? Just curious? I know places are 'doing away' with free install, but IIRC its not that much to have it installed and not have to worry about diagrams and such.
one and one makes two, together we are free

IIRC, Quality Auto Sound does the $1 install on decks and alarm systems you buy from them (any extra parts cost extra though)
