I'm impressed that someone could go buy a car brand new from the showroom, drive it home, and never touch it again. I can't decide if it is more or less impressive that the owner did this because it's a regular car though. I mean, it's one thing to go buy a supercar and never drive it because it loses value fast enough without adding more miles to it. But then again, he had no particular reason not to drive it.


It still seems that the general consensus on this (I stole the link from 6crew) is that people think it was a pretty dumb thing to do.

i bet if this was a like some old mazda and only been driven home, and would of been in same condition as this toyota most people would say very different things.....

and for me it could be any car in world and I would still feel the same way. I usually don't care about what car is "fast" or "performes" better than others. The corolla is his car and he did what he wanted with it. Maybe he plans to give it to his child or gran child.

That's exactly why I'm still impressed. If I could have gotten my hands on a Spirit R FD, or pretty much any rare model of RX-7 with super low miles, or if they come out with another RX-7 and I have the excess money (not likely haha) I would do this too. Well, if I could have enough willpower not to drive it haha.
