Catless Downpipe and Emissions
Anyone happen to have experience with MS6, catless dp and passing emissions? Thinking about getting a dp, but hate to have to go through install so I can fail an emissions test and have to do it all over to pass. Not too worried about visual inspection fail, and have AP to kill the CEL. Just curious if it will fail sniffer.
It will almost definitely fail the sniffer. Like movovr said, wait until you've passed emissions, then install the downpipe.

Some of the counties (mostly up around Denver and the Metro Area) require emissions testing to renew your registration. You have to have the test done every other year. And with the roadside things, if you pass them a certain number of times within a certain time period, then that counts as your test and you get a waiver.

Yea, but then you don't have to worry about it for 2 more years. And at that time you may get lucky and pass one of the roadside sniffers. Worst case scenario, in two years you put the stock downpipe back on for a day, go test, then put the aftermarket one back on.
