Who? Me? If so... I was able to pay for it in full (thanks to my wife's second job and money saving abilities). Private Owner-- got a heck of a deal...I think.

Insurance ran me $369.00 for the year (500.00 deductible, full coverage, etc.)...this was after some haggling-- it was originally $412.00. Had to pay a year up front to get this rate too:mad: Otherwise, it would of been $456.00

I did find out (After the fact) that my Insurance (through Progressive via agent) could potentially offer replacement parts [after the first year?] with 'used' ones, Fuuuu. My agent wasn't too happy with me when I continually pestered him and found this bit of info out:rolleyes:

MSF class + Registration + M endorsement + gear (still lacking, btw) = BROKE:(

Private owner with 10 miles. Someone didn't get permission before they bought it. Ha.

All these young pups buying their sport bikes...thems the good ol' days. Oh, and congrats on the bike!

Ha ha, something like that:D (FTW)

Young pups? (blushes)
I went into this with only a slight interest in getting a motorcycle...and a cruiser at that. I always saw myself on a cruiser. I don't necessarily fit the stereotype of the sport bike crowd. As if I'm some db with loose fitting jeans, sunglasses, and spiked hair-- ha ha, talk about lame.

Anywho...I took the MSF class *just* to see if I enjoyed riding. [Rewind to 3 days prior to the class] I found said 650R on CL for a steal. I merely called on it and it was still available (seller had just put it on within the past 24hrs). I thought it was a scam. But to my surprise, the bike was literally brand new. Before I knew it, I was having a courier pick it up that same night, since I wasn't legal/didn't even know how to ride it:lol:

You got it from a private owner with only 10 miles on it? Did they steal it from a dealer? lol

I know, right? I thought it was a scam for sure. I guess the dude bought it new in '10 and had the dealer deliver it to him on one of their trucks. He only rode it around his neighborhood, then parked it.

I couldn't pass on it:cool:

T'was a rainy night last night, so I opted to conduct the first oil change. For no other reason than to post something....anything...since there's no activity, ever-- here are a few pics of the momentous occassion.

Since you don't have room, you should let me "store" the old one for you.

How much? Doubt I'll have the money for it but just out of curiosity.
