No longer A Mazda in the house

Postby turbo99jetta » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:14

Well,

We finally decided to move on from the Mazda world. Its been 6 years since the last time we didn't own a Mazda. 2 Different Mazda 3's (both 2.3s one a sedan, 05, and a 08 Hatch) A Cx-7 and an Rx-8 in that time frame.

We will Miss the Mazda's, but it was time for a bigger car, as our kids just continue to get bigger and bigger. We looked at the CX-9, but my wife just couldn't get over the shape as she wasn't crazy about it, and we really didn't need a 3rd row.

I still will have some "mazda" as I'm the Internet Manager at Groove Mazda, so they won't be completely out of my life, but it will be different not to see a Mazda around the house.

Here is the replacement.

Has your MFT froze up yet? My sync/touch system didnt do so good at first.. With my old ipod, it would freeze up, and act really weird. the new ipod doesnt have any conflicts at all, and I hear a update for mytouch is coming mud july which will help with some of the delays and other issues that everybody is reporting... Myself, I LOVE the system.. The technology that Ford has put into their cars now is awesome

btw, nice car!!

I'm really like the new Fords. I'm really considering the Fusion Sport for my wife.

haven't had any problems yet. There are times where it is really slow, loading the nav seems to be the slowest part of the system. I prefer to use the buttons below to control the temp, just as I think its a lot faster.

Overall though, I think the system is really cool, and the car is really nice. For being brand new, we got 22 mpg's out of it on our way to chicago. Seats are hard as hell though when you sit in them for a while, hopefully they will break in.

I really like the Edge. I grew up being a Chevy guy and hating Fords but that was more my dad trying to drill that into me than anything else. I've actually only ever owned one Chevy and that was only for a month. My first car was an Escort and now I have the Mustang. And like Chris, I'd love to get my wife a Fusion Sport, but she's pretty hung up on her Impreza, hehe.

Congrats on the new ride!
