Got a Protege5!
fabbed and installed an Al/f-glass composite gasket to silence a rattle between the header and cat flanges, and replaced crush gasket. Replaced the bolts holding the tension springs with SS hardware per frozen nuts on the stock hardware.

Installed new OE #2 and #4 engine mounts per #2 torn, and shudder during roll-off. #2 (front) is cheap, and very easy to replace. #4 is a little more involved, but straightforward.
If you look at the driver's side frame rail in the engine bay picks, you'll see battery acid had caused peeling paint and surface rust (no pitting thankfully, just cosmetic) around the #4 engine mount, so I sanded and painted to fix it while the mount was out.
Checked to see if the my car was affected by the VTCS recall (screws holding butterfly valves in the IM fall out and get sucked into the engine
)- no recalls for my car, yeah!
