We'll see. It's a group interview so there's a chance I might not get hired. No idea how many people will be there or how many they are looking to hire, but I'm hoping for the best.

**** man, I'm 27 and well versed in a lot of things and I can't even find a job. I'm resorting to places like checker since I can't find anything. I've been looking since.January as well AND have q couple staffing agencies looking for me as well. I agree with others, take whatever you can get.

So just a bit of a two month bump here:
Applied to King Soopers this past weekend. Woke up Monday morning at noon to a voicemail about in interview. Got out of my interview half an hour ago. The HR lady told me as long as my drug test and background check come back clean (there is no reason they shouldn't), I have a job :)

Congrats! My, how times have changed. When I was a youngster way back when, there were no drug tests and background checks for retail part-time jobs.

Nice. King Soopers pays fairly well as far as grocery store jobs go, at least they used to. Better than Wal-Mart by far. Only thing to worry about is the occasional strike, heh.

Lol. Not looking forward to losing $5 from each paycheck until the union dues are paid off :p The HR lady I interviewed with said it was about minimum wage at first but it can go up, and they are really good about being flexible with scheduling.

I will be working at the King Soopers on County Line and Holly.

Started today. Worked 10-6:30 with a half hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks. A lot of computer based training today. Did work as an actual courtesy clerk for about an hour and a half. Back tomorrow from 10-2 for more computer training stuff and maybe some more working. Depends on how long the computer stuff takes. Working Thursday from 4-9 and Saturday from 10:15-6.
Got like 5 more on the job training courses I have to do at other stores though.

I used to work at Kingsoopers when I was in high school. I actually enjoyed it. I love going outside and do the buggies. I think my record was pushing 27 buggies at the same time. I think they have rules about how much you can push at one time now... Maybe 6? Pussies. lol. Some BS about safety or something like that. LOL

I dont know how long you have been out of the game but they have some fancy automated cart towers. They push like 40 lol funny thing is i always thought employees hated pushing those things. I know i would i get mad when customers leave them in the parking spaces and i have to get out and move it.

That's exactly what I mean... automated cart pushers... We are raising a generation of lazy pussies. LOL.
Most people hated doing the buggies but not I. Get to just stroll around, keep my lot clean and "relax".
