On some of them as to why the WB was off was because I was changing it around in my settings to see what it could do. I've tried to change the F-Stop, but it seems it either doesn't make a difference, or I don't hold my camera still long enough before it blurs out.
The reflections really don't bother me too much, if it wasn't the other person, it's going to be me, or the car behind it.
Oh, how I would love to get taught a few tricks in person
Just keep messing around with different settings. Try using the aperture priority setting, and set the aperture to the lowest number your lens will allow. Then try the same picture setting the aperture at a higher number so you can see the difference your camera will give you. Eventually you'll feel the kit lens isn't going to cut it for you and you'll want something new.
I'd recommend getting a 50/1.8 or whatever they have for Nikon. I have a 50/1.4 for my Pentax, but you might find a 1.8 or 2.0 for your camera. That should be a fun lens for you. Or maybe get a really wide angle lens, which makes a lot of good car pics that I see.

Posts like this one can take a long time to load and be painful for some readers. Photobucket has an option to allow you to post the thumbnails that link to the larger size photo. The last thing you want is for someone to get frustrated with a thread that's taking a long time to load, and then not get to see your pictures. Just a thought.
