I know not many here are into drag racing, but for those that are, does anyone want to go to Pueblo on this Saturday, April 9th? Gates open at 8am and Time Trials start at 9:30am. Cost is $35 to run and $8 to watch. End time varies but I have been told it is generally 5 or 6 pm.
They're doing the same thing on Sunday but there's a 60% chance of rain on Sunday now so I'm probably going to go on Saturday instead. Some folks from ColoradoHPJunkies.com are going to be meeting up down there as well.

Sad thing is I don't even know if it could run a 19.99 or better. It takes me 13-14 seconds just to get to 60 lol.

Probably better than nobody came. They closed the track shortly after noon because of high winds. I only got 2 runs in. :\

First run, decent launch, tons of wheelhop, 2.1s 60', clutch sticks to the floor on the 3-4 shift. No idea what caused it. It finally released and let me shift but the run was already ruined. 14.4 @ 86. Funny thing is 14.4 was the best time I ran in my MS3, heh. So that right there told me just how much quicker this car is.
Second run, all I was thinking about was the wheelhop so I took it a little easier on the launch, ended up with a 2.3s 60'. Should have just launched like the first time. Clutch was fine this time, 13.62 @ 107.7.
Was really looking forward to a 3rd run so I could try to get the launch better and get a low 13, but the wind was really kicking up. Then the dirt and dust started blowing in and the track was prepped horribly as it was. I was spinning in 4th a little even. I think I have more traction on the street. Looking forward to giving Bandimere a shot in a few weeks. Track is much stickier, but it's also about 1000' higher I believe. Stock 5.0s at sea level run 106 traps and hit high 12s, so with my trap I should theoretically be able to run a 12 with a good launch and better track prep. We'll see I guess.

Clutch was fine this time though and I finished 13.62 @ 107.7. 5.0s at sea level are running 12s with that trap, so if I could have gotten another run in and managed a good launch I might have been able to squeak out a high 12. But the wind picked up and started blowing dust and dirt onto the track, which was already horribly prepped. I was spinning a little in 4th even. I think I have more traction on the street.
I'm looking forward to giving Bandimere a shot in a few weeks. That track is always prepped very well and is very sticky, but it's also at higher altitude by about 1,000' I believe, so we'll see how big of a difference that makes.
