Yep. If we were in FL or someplace else at Sea Level, I'd probably be driving a N/A car by now. At this altitude, I <3 my boost.

Anyone know of a silver C5 Z06 that might be boosted in Colorado Springs? I could have sworn I heard some compressor surge/flutter when he let off the gas a couple times while cruising. And when he got on it right before he turned that thing moved out. Didn't get a chance to get humiliated by him because of traffic but I'm sure it wouldn't have been pretty.

Yep, I see him all the time. Has a bumper sticker on his back window that says, "Got boost?" Fast as HELL.

Still, you'd think that with NOS and a turbo, he'd be putting down more than 650....

^He's probably on a stock block. I don't know about the Vette in question, but if he "only" has 650rwhp, he obviously has other constraints holding him back.

Remember, even at those power levels, you're more concerned about getting the power to the road...you'll just spin street tires, you need ET Streets or full out slicks, which makes driving on the street pretty sketchy.

I wonder if it's my friend's old Z06. He had a fully bolted silver Z06 with 150 shot. And maybe this new guy just added the turbo kit. Hmm....

This weekend I ended up being challenged by a Chrysler 300C. It went a little something like this: I was starting to pull away from a highway stoplight when I noticed that the car next to me was pacing me.. and by the time I was able to crack the window an inch I could hear him down shift and his motor roar to life. When this happened I thought oh hell no and jammed my car into second gear and started gaining ground. I didn't let off till I hit around 75 mph and my entire car was ahead of his, even though he got the jump on me. I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed with this car, even though it can be a pain in the neck to maintain at times.

Was it an SRT8 300? I wouldn't think a regular 300 would be able to come close to keeping up with you if you were really trying.

^ Yea regular 300C which is why he surprised me and got the jump on me. I thought it was worth posting about because my friend with an STi has a girlfriend with a 300C and he always talked about how he thought they would be an even race.

The regular hemi 300c is meh imho. The srt8's tho, like erod said, I think would be a better match. Those cars are stupid heavy, even tho they put out decent HP numbers.
