Now I want to go fast and also enjoy the interior of the car when I'm not going fast. Luckily, the C6 is majorly improved in that department so that's what I would like to eventually get. Or a CTS-V lol.

I hear you. Something like this is the best of both worlds: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/2048839735.html

Chris lol, as fun as that car would be, I'd think you'd want something more practical. Just my 2cents

At first I was like who would want a Cayman over a 911, then I looked over the site and watched a couple of those videos and that thing looks like a lot of fun.

The Cayman is a MUCH better, much more evolved chassis/setup than the lame *** 911. Don't get me wrong, the 911 is a fantastic car and a legend, but Porsche has spent the past 5+ decades trying to make the rear-engine design work. There's a reason no other auto manufacture in the world utilizes a design even remotely close.

The entire weight of the engine is hanging out BEHIND the rear axle. It's like having a front-engined car with the engine before the front axle, which any mouth breather can see is less than ideal for weight distribution.

This is another reason why all clean-sheet designed Porsche race cars have a mid-engine. Only the 911-spec cars keep the rear-engine layout. And another reason why Porsche's all-out street-breed race car- the Carrera GT- has a mid-engined V10 and not a rear-engine flat-6.

I know this sounds like a bunch of 911 hating, and don't get me wrong, I LOVE the current 977 Twin turbo or GT2 and would do just about anything to own one, but the design is inferior. That's why Porsche won't give the Boxster or the Cayman any serious power.

I agree completely.

My parents used to have a Boxster S 550 and that thing would corner. I'm not a big convertable person so I like the cayman.

Hahahaha. I came in here to post about a car I found at Carmax and went and test drove last night, not even realizing it was the same car! LOL

You know, the interior isn't so bad on them after all. The seats are super comfortable. It's loaded with power seat, HUD which displays speedo, tach, oil level, dual zone climate control, active handling that you can turn off or set to track mode where the stability control still works but traction control is turned off. It really is a beautiful and fun car. I inquired about financing and it was going to be 14% interest because of the age of the car so it's not going to happen. But I definitely would not be opposed to getting a C5 Z06 in the future rather than a C6 if the price and miles are right.

But 1st you have to buy the Cayman, and then fork over 10K for the kit (hopefully install price is included). The 996 I had posted was 29k, which I'd venture you could waggle on.

But, Yes Cayman's are AWESOME rides, and given a deal I'd be all over it!!!!!
