So even tho everyone has told me NOT to mod the ruck, I've done some searching and pricing and "window" shopping (browser window biatches!!!) and basically I can do everything I want to for...$414. Complete custom drag look. Then like another $130 for all the performance stuff I'd want just for quicker acceleration. Top end doesn't really matter since I'm only downtown where the speed limit is 35 anyways...just wanna get there faster.
So go ahead...flame away! I don't care. I'm pretty sure I'll have the money for the car come January anyways.

lol, it's your money man. I don't think anyone is going to flame you over this. It's hard to resist spending money to make the Miata faster but I have to keep telling myself it's just a beater and I need it to be reliable first and foremost. But there's nothing wrong with making all your toys more fun if you can swing it.

not to thread jack but intake and exhaust and header are really cheap..... and make quite a difference plus dont mess with your reliability....
my 1990 miata had same mods as you (well GC coilovers on kyb agx shocks) plus fidanzas 1.8l light flywheel act clutch. intake, header, and exhaust, plus a PS/ac delete. and depowered the stock rack and 15x8 +0offset ricearoni wheels
that car was a daily driver. driven hard while delivering pizza, would do funrun mountain cruises once a month, and track trips over to demming newmexico every 3 months. and in the time i owned it i had 3 problems. thermostat got stuck and blew out the upper radiator hose... got it home with a roll of ducktape to wrap the hose and removing the thermostat...
and 2nd was a clutch mastercylinder went out.. drove home by revmatching and shifting without the clutch
3 was an alternator that died..
all three not remotely related to the modding moreso the 140k miles on the clock and an idiot Previous owner that did no maintenance
as long as you dont get alot of power and launch with sticky tires.(160-200hp hard launches kill the stock diff) the miata is near bulletproof. as you probably know that's an engine that designed to be turbo... so na mods arent going to blow the engine
back to original topic, that scooter seems like an amazing buy, im actually thinking about picking one up depending on the price

$414! For $86 more, you could have a Mazda Miata! It might event be drivable!
