new to mazda

so I am new to mazda and now own a 2005 mazda 6i 5 door. I am loving the car so far, but is slower than i want.......i know i know they always are. Anyway just seeing what this site is about and if there are meets?

sounds good....ill post some pics soon. I just wanna get ino the mazda community and get some insight on how to mod 2.3 I4 and good places to get stuff.....exhaust, lights, suspension, rims. you know the easy stuff first.

The 2.3 I4, you're pretty much not going to get more power out of it. You can get sound, spend money on a CPE intake, but quite honestly unless you dump big money and slap a turbo on it, your aren't going to get much in terms of power gains. Enjoy the crisp handling.

I had an '05 6i hatch as well. Lapis blue with Speed6 wheels, fun little car.

I agree with mr huzer, cheap mods won't get you more power, but some might help better utilize the power you have.

I think you may be one of the only 6i owners on this forum... There used to be a few of us but we have all since sold our cars and moved on to bigger and better things lol.. anyways,, I used to have an 05' Lapis sedan.. Loved it.. Fun lil car.. Theres a few mods you can do for free or for really cheap.. Your not gonna get much power out of doing any mods but its fun to tinker with it. To bad you just came on here,, I had a few things left over from my car not to long ago and I just sold them all recently.. I had springs, Metra dash kit, etc.. Only thing I have left is somg NGK Laser iridium Spark plugs that have less than 1500miles on them,, I paid almost $60 for them,, If your interested them PM me and we can work something out.. '

but ya, if you have any questions on what or how to do some simple mods on your car then feel free to ask.. I did almost every free mod I could on mine..
