I had a bit of an accident on lookout mountain about 6 weeks ago: two holes in the oil pan, cracked engine casing, wrecked front and rear bumpers and torn out inside fender wells. Overall it was roughly 2 grand of repair. Everything looks great and ran somewhat fine but after about two weeks the turbo sounded sick (ill sick not cool sick) and the car had weird, i dont want to say knocking since i cant tell, ticking noise at lower rpm's. so i went back through the bill and on it they had charged me for 6 quarts of oil...i checked the dip stick and in fact it was beyond overfull. Im not sure what the damage is yet but im almost positive im going to blow up soon...=(

so maybe you guys can tell me why, when i pulled the oil out tonight it smelled like i just drained my gas tank...i hope i didnt fry piston rings

Shit dude, take it to wherever it was repaired and have them go over it again. Another insurance claim, IMHO.

lol sounds like every oil change i do. but yea, it does seem like piston rings to me. do a compression test to verify. i hope you didnt blow the welds off the manifold too :D

its blow bye and the shitty ****in pcv system on these cars. i have an occ, and can empty it every week and it smells like gas more so than oil. the cylinder to wall fitment is always not as tight compared to NA cars. its normall.
