Moisture in headlight

So, for the past couple weeks I've noticed moisture in my housing after I wash the car, or even after a little rain. I have HID's on the car but dont think this is the cause. The seals behind all the bulbs look perfect. Im pretty stumped, and know the dealership will give me some BS about the HID's....any ideas out there?

your hids might of came lose from just normal wear and tear of driving causing water to flter into the housing and jus ta little water can cause it all to moisture up

What do you mean by loose?, the seals are tight and dont move at all.

Have you ever opened up your housing? If not, I'd re-seat ALL the bulbs just in case. And depending on the kit, it is possible the HID bulbs don't fit as snug as OEM.

I had moisture in the rear tail light of my 8. I just dumped all the water out that was in there and reattached it. I also had to super glue a stud that broke off of it from when it was hit. So that might have helped it seal up. Maybe it's just loose and the seals appear to be tight?

I've also heard that drilling a small hole at the bottom and/or top will let moisture escape and it shouldn't fog up.

Can you remove the HIDs and get it back to looking stock for a trip to the dealer?

I had my passenger headlight assembly replaced under warranty last month because of moisture. I have the stock HIDs, though. When I brought it in, they ran the hose over the assembly until they noticed the moisture inside. I'd imagine if you roll in with water already in there, you could argue for a warranty replacement.

I think at some point I asked this question somewhere over a year ago when I was car shopping and kept seeing moisture in the headlights on pictures of cars that were for sale... People generally thought it was condensation and that if the moisture is only there for an hour or so after the car has been washed, then it's nothing to worry about...
(I kept seeing it in pictures bc dealerships and people usually wash the car right before their photo-shoot)

It stays in there for about 2 days after I wash the car....so it bothers me, if it were minor, I wouldnt be too worried about it.

Why? When I did my HID swap all OEM wires were left intact and in their original bundles.

Well I washed it today after reseating all the bulbs on that housing and no moisture. Something must have just come loose. We'll see if it happens again. Thanks for all your input.
