Sadly no. Although your interest in my dining outings is nice to have. Ghay, but nice to have ;)

This past weekend was a drag. Ended up hanging out with some friends, rather than being adventurous. Stay tuned though, I hope to have another review under my belt by next week:D

I went to chick-fill-a over the weekend. It was exactly what I expected.

And by expected you meant you fell in love and will only eat chick-fil-a for the rest of eternity. It's SO GOOD! I wish they would open one in Boulder. I have to drive to Broomfield to get some :(

~Barn~ wrote:As an actual person of Mexican decent, I'm pretty critical of "restaurant" offerings. Not to say everything, everywhere, is bad, but I have just developed a particular taste for what I like after 30+ years of eating the best of my Mom and Dad's families.

One place though, that is seriously no joke in terms of quality food with authentic flavors, is El Taco de Mexico. It's a true hole-in-the-wall joint with not much for seating or scenery, but the food is legit. This place wins "Best Of Westword" awards, like it's their job. Oh yeah... No cards or checks. It's a cash only operation, and somewhat "no frills" in terms of service. But hey... if the food is on point, it's well worth the inconvenience. Check it out on the Northeast corner of 7th and Sante Fe in Denver.

Place has been there forever...definitely one I'd recommend.

Define eating healthy batman.

Used to go there when I was a little tyke. Grew up in that neighborhood, so we always went there. Haven't been there for about 6 years or so. Not sure if it's same ownership, same recipes...shit, I don't even know if it's still there, even though I'm downtown at least 5 times a week.

The Ranch would be a good start. Lots of misplaced Cali kids!

I was in Azusa a few weeks back... just had to pop into the In-n-Out.

I like a Dbl-Dbl w/ Choc shake.

In-N-Out is an institution to people from L.A. or Cali in general. There really sin't anything better than a Double Double with grilled onions and a pink lemonade. Sure, it doesn't compare to a sit down burger joint, but it puts all other fast food burgers to shame. The fries are fresh cut and usually are not greasy. The burger is made fresh along with everything else that goes on the burger.

Maybe you just need to grow up eating at In-N-Out to appreciate it. I have tried to convince them to open a store in Colorado. They don't do franchises, otherwise there would be In-N-Outs all over the place, especially with the number of people that have relocated here from Cali. However, In-N-Out did tell me that they are currently investigating the logistics and possible locations for opening one here in the Denver area.

My thoughts exactly!

Now to make up for rubbing it in, you must eat there for every meal as you should anyway, and second, you must begin a petition in my honor for the opening of a Chick-fil-a in Boulder.

Gabriels: http://www.gabrielsdenver.com/

This place has been excellent the handful of times I've been there. This is basically a 50% off deal, and is only offered for a limited time it seems.

If anyone's interested....
