You know the more you race them the more you encourage them to try to race people. Just ignore the slow ones.

And btw, Eclipses can be plenty fast, just not newer ones, heh.

I got walked tonight. By, of all things, a GTI. Current generation. Not a fast walk, but she (yep, I think it was a chick) moved steadily up on me through fifth.

I'm guessing NOT stock.

Couldn't be stock because stock they only have 200hp, but with a reflash and a few bolt-ons I can see them taking down a nearly stock DISI.

Part of the problem on the first run was that I shifted almost at redline. That loss of power after 5500 really sucks. Second run I shifted earlier and held her off better.

Played with a new gt500 last night...when passing other cars we were pretty much right on each others bumpers and didn't matter who was in front. When we finally did get to a spot we could do a pull (basically drove from 36 and 104th all the way down to I25 and broadway) we lined up and he did get the jump, but I basically was able to keep him about a car length in front of me! I was pretty happy with that, and he...well, he was really surprised and just stared and gave me a thumbs up!

Pontiac GTP (supercharged). My brothers new car. Didn't think I would beat it. I don't know the numbers it puts down but from driving it I thought I would lose. Some guys up at Bandi were running low 14s-13s in these things at the last Club Clash. Some of those were modded and fitted with smaller pulleys though. Curious to see what we do when I get my final tune and my brother slaps on his new SC and smaller pulley.

Made a Nissan G37x get pissed of at me this morning. He was driving like a maniac down 6th and he was about to fly around me when I gunned it. He got stuck in the middle of a bunch of slow cars.

Had a white STi trying to chase me up Powers today. Few car lengths back, weaving through traffic, trying like hell to get to me. At first, I thought it was my buddy Milo--out of state plates, no spoiler, mailbox scoop. But it wasn't. And it didn't catch me, but only because of traffic. I worked my way through better than he did.

I scared a guy in a White STI a week ago. I pulled hard next to him on the highway and the BOV scared the crap out of him. He was just driving minding his own buisness. He was looking around trying to see what car made that noise. Didn't wxpect me. He didn't want to play though.

LOL... Yeah but even better some people don't jump at my BOV. They jump cause of the huge backfire I have. Sometimes it feels/sounds like a 12-gauge shotgun.

It's funny to watch people duck and cover in the projects. Surprised I haven't been pulled over yet for the sound and the fire.

Did I mention a surprising number of people don't even know what an RX-8 is. Some people seriously have never seen one before even other Mazda owners.
