Factory HID bulb replacement

Postby jankyboy » Fri Oct 08, 2010 9:14

I'd like to buy a pair of D2S 5000K bulbs to replace the stock 4300K bulbs on my '10 3s GT. Any recommendations on a reputable vendor?

I found a pair on DDM Tuning's site for $15; however, that seems pretty low for HID bulbs, so I question the quality. On the flipside, I found bulbs on Xenon Expert's site starting at $75/bulb for the Apexcone bulbs, and $150/bulb for the Phillips.

Thanks - P

The bulbs from DDM are the same bulbs that Xenon is selling you.. only difference... your paying the cost of the middleman. Xenon Expert gets his stuff from DDM and then marks it up and sells it to you.. Go straight to the source buddy... HID kits and bulbs are hella cheap these days.. When I got my first set 5yrs ago.. I paid $279 for the kit.. You can buy the exact same kit today for $35 :(.... Ya,, how times have changed.. Prices of HIDs have come down alot.. So dont be so scared to get the ones from DDM.. Now if you really do wanna spend the money on the Phillips bulbs,, Thats a different story... Cuz those are some of the best bulbs out there and you do have to pay a premium price for those..

Thanks - I'll give the DDM bulbs a go. Even if they suck, I'm only out $15 + shipping.

Personally, I'd hit up ebay for OEM bulbs.......... GE, Sylvania, Philips.
