Really, another service manager I have to butter up!?!?!

Postby tbot » Tue Oct 05, 2010 9:14

So called Sill-Terhar to schedule an appointment to get my VVT fixed and leave a message for David, the old (and who I thought was) the service manager there. Anyways, get a call back from this chic name Tenny (sp?). Apparently she's the new service manager there who came from Centennial.

So I've already been thru this once when Clark left and David took over, but now I have to butter up this new chic so she's cool with mods and stuff like that the same way the other two were (Clark especially!!!). I have a feeling its going to end up being a lot harder than the guys, she sounds kind of like an awesome chick, but we shall see tomorrow morning when I get up there and talk with her. Granted on the other hand, she sounds kinda hot too, so I'll report back on that as well :D hehe.

Good luck. Geez, dealerships sure have a rather high turnover rate with service managers.

Mazda dealerships do have a high turnover rate, but I haven't noticed that with others. I was SOOOO bummed when Joey left Bob Penkhus that I was depressed and nearly sold the damn car. I know how you feel, tbot.

Have you tried calling Clark to see if he'll give her a call to smooth things over first?

no...but I think I'm going to today sometime soon, just to make sure things are cool.

I asked her to look at why my A/C wasn't working either and she said she'd have to charge, or just have the "glance" at it and would charge anything. The damn car is under ****ing warranty!!! There shouldn't be a charge for anything imho. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Of any newer car I've owned, Mazda has been the absolute worst when it came to warranty/TSB work. It's been their horrible customer service after the initial sale that has pretty much ruined it for me. Honestly, it shouldn't require "buttering up" a service manager to get warranty work done (regardless of mods).

^^what he said...

I completely agree. Clark, and then David were cool with it and didn't care about things like mounts, or the short shifter. This chic tho, I have a feeling is going to throw a conniption fit!

Ok well I called David on a break earlier today, and don't know if he talked to the new chic, but she just called, said the VVT TSB was fixed and they looked at the A/C and found it was out of refrigerant, and didn't charge me for it! So sounds like this might end up working. Probably going to have to go back a few times to let her know I do know what I'm talking about and not just some punk *** know it all kid.

On the major side note CAR IS FIXED!!! Now who wants to help me put all my shit back on?!?!
