Yeah, I see what you mean now. Warranties are nice and fixed 90% of my problems with the 8 at no cost to me. Maybe consider a private party sale. You could possibly get more out of it than on a trade in.
Just Make sure your new/new used car has a long warranty because every car has problems and even if they are little they are costly just cause of how much labor the dealers/shops charge. My brother just bought a Pontiac GTP for real cheap with a blown tranny. $300 for a tranny and 5 hrs later the car was back on the road. He would easily have spent over 1k if he had a shop install it.
BTW, How much is the part you're needing to change anyway. You could save some dough and install it yourself if you want to spend the time to.
