Any updates on this Chris?
I'm planning on going, I just wanted to know what time the cars need to be there and what time the cars can leave.

All right, yes. Update.
Cars need to be there by 5:00 p.m. This is at Vista Ridge High School, 6888 Black Forest Road, Colorado Springs.
MAP HERE
Chilli cookoff starts at 5:30 (and my wife's OUTSTANDING chicken Chilli will be there, among others!), and the concert/talent show at 7:00. Now, this is a concert/talent show by the VRHS staff...so, uh...yeah...lol
Here's who I have on the will-show list:
Stealth01
reconbygod1
Renesis RX
Memphis - Possible
GTFiddle - Possible
RX-7 Chris
Plus I'm told United Empire Car Club (Show Cars) will be bringing 7-10 cars, as well.
Some of you have my cellphone. If you don't, PM me and I'll send it to you, in case you need directions. Basically, take Powers to Dublin. Go east on Dublin to Black Forest Road. Turn north (left) onto Black Forest road. VRHS is on the left at the top of the hill. They have a semi-circle driveway -- we'll be occupying that!
Thanks everyone!

All right, no problem for those who can't make it. It's a last-minute thing. We should have a good turn-out nonetheless.
Thanks to all!

Wow! What a turn-out all-around tonight.
This started out as a side-event to a chili cook-off and talent show. The custodian for the high school had some friends with 70's era corvettes, some old trucks, and so on coming out. Maybe 5 cars.
After we put the word out, the local car community responded FAST and WELL.
From CMZC we had me, tbot, memphis, RX-7Chris, and reconbygod. From United Empire car club, we had 7 cars. The Colorado Springs Jeep Cherokee club was there with 6 lifted Cherokees. And a few other miscellaneous stragglers. All total, there were EASILY 20-25 cars there, and it REALLY pulled people in.
And of course, I forgot to take pictures because I'm a dork.
As far as the benefit, they were expecting 300 people. I think they easily doubled that. The Chilli was GONE, and there were 20 or so crock pots of it. And the talent show looked pretty darn packed, too.
I don't know how much we raised, but every little bit will help. This family is looking at a $2-million medical bill when all is said and done, and they have to pay 20% of that.
I can't tell you guys how proud I am of the showing by CMZC and the car community in general.
Thanks to everyone who showed from every club out there. SIMPLY OUTSTANDING.
I know Bruce, the custodian organizing the car show portion of this, was speechless and deeply touched. So was Cla, the grandmother of the little boy that this was all about.
