I did have a kick *** burger from CB Potts 3-4 years ago. It was so delicious, i've been afraid to go back and try it again as I might be let down. :(

Sounds like that episode of How I Met Your Mother - "The Best Burger in New York".

I freakin love How I Met your mother. CB and potts is awesome, especially in fort collins, where on sunday nights, its half off everything, Drinks, food, you name it. Been a frequent hang out spot for YEARS. Light on the wallet, not on the waist.

Nice, I forgot about that episode. Finally, someone besides myself referring to tv:lol:

Right on- I'll have to file this one in the 'need to try' file...

It is a great show. Also a good warm up for The Big Bang Theory.
CB and Potts is great. There's one right down the street from me. Their Blonde is a great beer, we love their fish and chips, good burgers, etc. I think I've tried most things on their menu. As far as the money, I don't think we've ever gotten out of there for less than $50:huh:

The Big Bang Theory is also an excellent show. I actually like the whole CBS Monday night lineup including Two and a Half Men and Rules of Engagement, though I'm not sure Rules of Engagement will be back this fall. I think they might be trying out a new show on Monday nights.

I'll watch Two and Half Men if its on, but have never really gotten into it.
Crap, figures- We just got into the Rules of Engagement show... its pretty good too. Oh well, I'm not terribly picky when it comes to tv anyway (goes back to watching Bachelor Pad...)

So the second night, we went to Kannah Creek Brewery: http://kannahcreekbrewingco.com/

This is a pizza-type/Italian restaurant, right across the street from the college. The place was pretty packed and the atmosphere was nice...easy going and clean.

The salads were great-- had red onions on them (which I normally don't like) but in this case, made the salad much better.
We both ordered pizza. I had the Kannah and the wife had the Mt. Kilauea. They were both excellent! The crust was nice-- not too thick and doughy and not thin and crispy either; a nice in-between. The cheese and toppings were fresh, and it wasn't overloaded with cheese or toppings. What I liked most, was that they relied on good ingredients, and not on using a crap-load of greasy cheese to overtake the pie.

The beer was better than Rockslide, but still not as good as say, CB and Potts. I had their blonde (which was way too dry) and an amber (which was good, but I don't like ambers.) They were all out of their wheat beer, as its their most popular/best one.

I would definitely go there again. However, the pizza didn't taste good leftover. They did provide some very nice (way too nice) of to-go containers. They seemed very high quality, which is odd.

I can appreciate your interest in the sauce.

It was very fresh tasting IIRC. There really wasn't much on there either; making it hard to recall an accurate 'taste'. Now that you mention it, I'd really like another go at the Kannah- to properly dissect their (pizza) sauce.

It's been awhile since my last update.

A few weeks ago I fell prey to this catastrophe: http://www.swingersgolflounge.com/

I was expecting something similar to the ESPN Zone or something. Its actually in a somewhat decent location-- right near the entrance to the Park Meadows movie theater. Anyway, we walked in and it was dead. That should of been the first clue to turn around and walk out. But we didn't. We sat down, the table was a bit sticky, that should of been the second warning- but nope, I've sat at sticky tables before- so I let it slide.

I see what seems to be a group of friends hanging out at the bar, taking shots. We're like, okay- it can't be too bad. A few minutes later we see them all disperse and go back to....work! That's right, work-- from manning the bar, to wiping down tables, to waiting tables.

So, I spot the 2 waitresses. One of which was smokin' hot- the other, an older but could-have-been-something to look at ten years ago. Of course, we get the latter of the two. First off, her voice was all hoarse. So, yeah...she was sick. After she gets our drink order, she walks away- hacking into her hand (not arm, or sleeve- but hand). All night, she continued to hack. Me being the germophobe, actually conversed with my other half about finishing our beverage and leaving. But I was curious about the food, so we stayed. We ended up asking to go sit outside, because I didn't want her hacking near us; so we did. Not five minutes later, our hoarse-voiced waitress comes outside and lights up a friggin' cig at the table next to us. Then out comes another shot-drinkin' buddy (co-worker) to have a smoke with her. What the frick!?

At this point, we'd already ordered and were just itching to get the heck out of their. Fast forward fifteen minutes and the food comes out. I wish I could recall a bit more about the food, but I can't-- it was that memorable. It wasn't really nasty, but it was just "drunk food". The kind of food you'd expect at a crappy bar. Greasy pizza and a bland burger with a crap load of fries.

I give this sorry excuse for a "restaurant" two thumbs down on the tut-o-meter. If you're looking to grab a beer before or after a movie, heck...go on ahead. But if you're looking to grab some dinner before or after a movie....don't do it! Run...far, far away.... and if you see a hoarse-voiced, sick, smoking waitress coming toward your table- just say no and leave.
