No, DynoJet dynos typically read the highest, along with DynaPacks. A Mustang and Dyno Dynamics read the lowest.
If it is truly uncorrected, then it's over 400awhp at sea level, so kudos there, but it's still just scratching the surface of an STi.

I see no reason to not believe the owner. I work with him daily, and have ridden in the car. It bounces my head off the headrest with hard launches.
And it's a daily driver for him, so that's as far as he's going to take it, power-wise.

I need to get you a ride in a fast car one of these days. A friend of mine had an el camino that would blur your vision when he took off from a stop, over 500hp and close to that in tq plus a 200 shot of nos. I knew someone with a built Pantera I got a ride in, it wasn't fast off the line but once you got it over 45mph it would take off.

Go to an autocross in the springs and ask to ride in the Evo of Doom... you want to talk about a fast car? Holy crap. It corners beautifully and has 450+hp at the wheels. Even straight this car kicks some serious ***.

500hp? 450hp? How about a 750awhp/700ft lbs of torque R35 GT-R? I had a friend (owner of FAT Performance in Phoenix) who took me for a ride in his GT-R, and it was FAST. My best friend in Phoenix also has a 553rwhp/502ft-lbs of tq fully built RX-7 FC Vert that is STUPID fast, too.
My Uncle used to build Chevelle's and Nova's that competed in NHRA Nationals- very competitively I might add- in the mid to late '90s. He had a Chevelle that scared the shit outta me, custom billet 572 block, twin turbo'ed and running meth fuel. He never knew how much power it made because it maxed out dynos back then (over 1700rwhp/1500tq was the highest it made before he literally broke a dyno), full tube chassis, and it ran high 5's to low 6's. And it was street legal- somehow.
He used to take people for rides and put a $100 bill on the passenger side of the dash, and tell you, "If you can grab it, it's yours". So he would wait until your finger tip was about 3 inches away from the bill and then just punch it. If you weren't ready, you would literally get whiplash or a neck injury. One of his friends actually had a blood vessel burst in his eye during a run once...
Anyways, that's the fastest car I've ever been in. And I hope to get my FD over 550rwhp, someday.
And, if motorcycles count, a friend I went to MMI in Phoenix with had a custom turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa that put down 485rwhp on high boost with race gas. If you gave it more than 40% throttle at anything under 60mph the rear tire would just spin, or it would just stand the bike up. But once above 60, shit, it just took off. It did 60mph-150mph in about 2.5 seconds...practically a rocket. That was the fastest I ever got it up to (150mph) because it was his bike and I didn't want to do anything to it, but he would easily get it up to 200mph+. In the 1/4mile he would trap 185ish.

Oh yea, well, I've been in the back seat of an F-16C, producing something on the order of....well, stupid amounts of horsepower!

Well I "lost" to an Evo IV today. I was heading back to Golden from Boulder and he came up behind me rather uqickly. I slowed to give some distance from the cars ahead of me then gunned it. (I had an extra 350+ lbs of passangers in the 8 aswell.) I pulled on him rather well. I don't think he was expecting me to be so quick. He anticipated when a passing lane was coming up and got on the throttle early. 2 Seconds after he floored it to go around me I floored it aswell (He was at my rear doors by then) and was slowly starting to hunt him down. I want to see what I can do from a real roll not a cheat roll.
I made the drive from the Springs to Red Rocks and back today, following I25 up and Hwy 83 down, and I was challenged by....
Absolutely NO ONE.
I did drive Hwy 74 west for about three miles, almost to Idleville, then turned around and went back. THAT was hella fun. 23 turns in three miles....weeeee!

Thought I was going to get a run with a modded B5 S4 yesterday. He came weaving through traffic from behind me and he flew by me and nailed it. I sped up and was reeling him in when the light we were approaching turned yellow. I thought he would stop and we'd run from a dig but after a brief hesitation he ran the light. Maybe he noticed I was catching up to him and decided he didn't want any. Or maybe he was just in a hurry to get somewhere and didn't care about a race, heh. May not have been able to take him from a dig anyway. It's not like I was pulling hard on him when I was behind him. Just a slow walk.

Challenged today by an E46 M3 on the I north of Castle Rock. Came FLYING up behind me, but I was able to hang with him for a mile or two before we slowed for traffic. It was hella fun!
Oh, BTW, I wasn't in the MS6. I was in an 08 335i.
