I am a little behind in my post, but this is where I stand.

I got the engine compartment painted and was a little harder then expected. There are a lot of different profiles and had some issues getting the HVLP gun adjusted. Finally got things where I wanted them and am satisfied with the results. I feel like I learned quite a bit and am ready to tackle the rest of the car. I did go with white for the paint and have some ideas for the final design. No hints, you will just have to wait and see.

I finished the Ford wiring harness modifications and got it installed in the car. I need to get all the wiring cleaned up and then the motor is ready to go in.

I finished up the breaks for now. I went with a basic break upgrade from Goodwin Racing and will do for awhile until I can afford a big break kit. The Goodwin kit came with 4 Brembo slotted rotors, stainless break lines and some performance break pads.

I finally got my transmission and rear end in and was part of my delay. These are two big items I have been saving for. I went with a Tremic T5 World Class transmission with Steeda short throw shifter and the rear end is a 7.5" Ford with 3.27 gears and Ford Racing limited slip. The whole rear end was rebuild and had the limited slip installed. I was able to get the rear end install today but still need to the half shafts off to the shop to be built.

Once I get the wiring sorted and cleaned up, I will be dropping in the motor, install the flywheel, clutch and then the trans. There is still some more wiring inside the car that needs to be done and then she is ready to start. I will keep everyone posted.

Went with the Koni Sports and the Racing Beat Springs. I talked with Brain at Goodwin and he stated that because I am running aluminum heads, intake, and no AC that the RB springs will work great in conjunction with tubular sway bars. The estimate is that with my setup, i am only adding about 200 lbs over the stock Miata setup. I still have the Monster Miata springs if worse comes to worse and for now this is just a street car.

If you haven't decided on a color yet, maybe take a look at the one of the original miata colors: twilight blue, or silver. Two of the best colors for miata's imo. But i can't complain with white being of of my top favorite colors for cars. Can't wait to see the finished monster!

Nice. Is it mounted and everything? Now where's the radiator going to go, heh. Looks like it will be pretty tight.

The previous pics were of the engine sitting in the bay. I have since installed the fly wheel, clutch, transmission & mount. I do however and one clearance issue and I don't know how bad it is going to be to fix. Till next weekend.

I may have to put on the springs from the kit. This thing sits low.

A few pics to update. Radiator is in and plumbed, sway bars installed and just finishing up the final wiring. I hope to have it started by the end of the month and then it is off to get the exhaust done, fenders rolled, & hood modified.
