LOL, yeah, I did.
I could test the solenoids, but I really don't want to buy new ones just when I know they will probably fail again. IMO sequential just leads to more problems, although it's a better performing system than non-sequential. Although, sequential does allow for slightly more peak horsepower.

they don't help it pass emissions and emissions tests require a cat, so other than blowing clean the solenoids just WAY over complicate things

You do know solenoids control the ENTIRE twin turbo sequential system on an FD, right? They do more than help pass emissions. I don't care about emissions either, I live in Larimer county, so I don't have any.
It's a common problem for the factory solenoids to fail on the FD, which causes systems within the seq twin turbo sys to fail and the system to not operate properly.

I am on the fence for the following turbos:
Borg Warner S366XL
-Pros: Cheap, good, reliable turbo. Twin scroll, lots of airflow.
-Cons: Not ball bearing, 3.5" v-band turbine discharge which makes finding a downpipe more difficult
Precision 6762 Billet
-Pros: Ball bearing, reliable, billet compressor, ported shroud, ultra quick response and high horsepower potential
-Cons: Very expensive, limited availability (they do make a non-ball bearing version for $800 less...)

LOL I ordered my turbo from A-Spec and then I saw that people had billet compressor wheels and I was trying to get them to change my order but it would have taken WAY longer and I just didn't want to wait that long. Maybe next time I need it rebuilt...maybe next deployment for the hell of it HAHA.
Seriously though, I heard those things spool super quick. I wouldn't mind getting the TiAL turbine shroud either, but being pricy, expensive and not available for my turbo makes it a no-go lol.

Haha Eric, get your own billet turbo!!!! LOLz. They are hard to get right now...and I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the Precision billet turbos.
And Change, I plan on building my own downpipe. A 3.5" v-band flange is more expensive, and then I need a transition piece from 3.5-3" as well since I can not fabricate that. It just makes it more expensive.

I know the EVO guys love that Precision billet turbo, I haven't really heard of too many others using it...although I haven't really been paying attention either.
Zico and I built my DP for my first single setup. It was kind of a pain since we didn't have a proper power source for the welder and it would just suck the power down to where it would stop working haha. So all we could do is make a piece, tack weld it, drive across town to their shop to finish welding it, drive back across town to my apartment and tack the next piece, drive back across town to weld it...but with a proper shop with a proper power source for the welder, it should be fine HAHAHA.

I want to get a welder and learn how to do all that, but I just keep forgetting about it. I tried to learn a bit from a girl that worked in the metals shop when I was deployed back in '05, but it was in a blown-up hangar (provided by us 10 years earlier btw HAHA) that had horrible lighting and I couldn't see a thing, especially with the helmet on. So...that was the last time I tried.
