IMPORT FACE-OFF - Pueblo July18th

Postby MSP SuperStreet » Fri Jul 09, 2010 9:14

National Import Car Show, Sound-Off and Race Tour makes a stop in Colorado. Colorado is usually skipped when the National Import Tours like NOPI, HIN and others put their schedules together. NOPI used to stop in Denver, its been three years since the last show. I would be great for the Colorado Import community to come out and support this show so Colorado could be put back on the map for this an other National Import Tours.

I can not make this at all. If it were any day but Fri, Sat, Sun I could make it out but not on the busy days.

Looks like fun, too short of notice for me to swing it, however.

Also, it's in Pueblo, which is a 3 hour haul one way for me...ugg LOL.

I'll be there. I'll be showing my car at a minimum and possibly racing (depending on the terms). I'm accurate with my times, but quite slow.

Report of Import Show Off

CMZC Members:
MSP SuperStreet - MSP Protege
Marriedlife10 - RX8 Shinka - a head turner and great use of CF.
Wayne Watkins - Mazda5 - Awesome custom interior work and sound system.

Over all show and participation was relatively small. 30 Cars entered in the show and approximately the same number racing. Weather was crazy; 100 degrees at 1:00pm followed by strong wind gust and a heavy down pour which closed out the show at 3:30pm. Although event organizers were disappointed in the turn-out they claimed to be willing to come back next year and schedule it for spring/early summer hoping for a better turnout.

Club Member Awards:
MSP SuperStreet - Best Mazda
Wayne Watkins - Best SUV and Best Interior

There is quite a story behind that Ride.
Its was resurrected from extensive hail damage.
You couldn't tell it from looking at it today.

Yes he still has the RSX. Its still his primary show car.

He took the Mazda5 to Albuquerque for a sound quaility competition on Saturday. They drove up Sunday and entered it in the Import Show Off on their way back to Denver.
