I started to work on the louvers. I drilled the rivets and pulled the braces. I need to bring the braces to a welder to have the cracks in the aluminum welded. I plan to drop it off on Friday.

Louver repair:
The louvers are all aluminum and riveted together. All the rivets needed to be replaced. I picked up a pack of 100 rivets. They are aluminum coutersunk 1/8", grip range .063-.125, hole size .129-.133.

The braces that support the center were cracked. I drilled the old rivets out to remove the braces. I dropped off the braces at the welder and should have them back next week. I took some before pics of the louvers that I will post tomorrow.

Are the louvers going to powdercoat or paint?

Progess has been made on the car. The rust is all repaired and looks great.

Also I did all the rear suspention. The rear suspension has all poly bushings and is all cleaned and painted.
