RPM Street Spings.....

Well today I had the morning off and decided to tackle the spring install...:(

I have done this on a couple car before this one and thought it would be a pain in the arse......

The rear springs were very easy and I was able to get them done in about an hour for both......

The fronts were a little more challanging do to the interesting way the shock body attaches to the front fork....never seen it done that way......The most time consuming part is the compressing and decompressing of the springs(always)....that is the pain of the install......I might have been lucky no sticky bolts or nuts or problems....Just a slippery end joint......:D

All in all it was about a 3-3.5 hour ordeal that yielded great results.......got the drop i wanted, I no longer have a MS6 that looks like a rock crawler, but a more sporty feel and smoother ride. I will snap some photos as soon as I can find my camera, still packed some where........I would recommend this to anyone looking for a more subtle drop, not slammed look. The ride is not much different then stock, although you will feel the highway imperfections a little more. It also does as claims equals out the the fender gap between the front and back.......I am a big fan thus far

Sounds good. I hope to see it rolling around sometime soon. For how many speeds there are in the ranch I never see any of you guys.

Nice Greg! The mod bug HAS in fact reared it's head :) You have a spring compressor or did you rent/borrow from somebody? I only ask b/c its something I've been thinking about doing but don't have the tools.

Good stuff Greg. You should notice a significant reduction in rear squat under WOT, and better cornering stability as well.

Autozone has spring compressors for rent- put down a deposit and you get the money back if you bring them back.

I think all the talk about getting the mod bug is funny. I was born with mine. I haven't left anything alone ever.

I got mine from checker auto parts it was like $60 and I get back $55 of it when I return it.......they worked well. As for tools it was just a breaker bar, torque wrench, 17mm,14mm,12mm sockets, a couple extensions, adjustable wrench, 14mm open wrench and a couple sizes of ratchets, a couple bloody knuckles:(.

Can't speak for the MS3 but the job was a afternooner for one person, probably go faster with two.....Let me know I could lend a hand

Ha! Now that's comedy, right there!

I'm excited to see pictures as well. On more than a couple of ocassions, I've wanted to order these, but the install has been the worry.

And on that note, what is your per-hour labor charge? :D

Are the RPM Streets an even drop all around, or are they a little lower in the front?

Where were you when I was paying to have mine installed! I would have rather done it on my own and gained some knowledge, but I didn't have any of the tools :(
