I know, you never explained running 75% recirc and 25% VTA and how that effects things[/b]

Because it would just be an educated guess with no backing proof. It's another reason I want to find software to log different blocks with this car. Once I have that I'll be able to give honest results on many parameters. I have been playing with my VAG software with the Mazda but seeing it’s intended for a VAG vehicle it isn’t able to capture that many blocks of info ;-(

I’d still “Guess” that it’s not intended for the Mazda, but some circulation is better than none. But that’s still a guess and far from fact at this point.

Baby steps, but I love toying with cars and this car is so begging for testing and it’s new to me so it makes it that much more exciting . I know many aftermarket companies are well into this motor as far as eeking out more power, so we’ll leave most of this to the experts and not us weekend hacks ;-)

I will certainly pass on any/all findings I have in the future. The more we all know the more we can love this motor more ;-)

Stupid throttle plate, that’s going to be the biggest issue IMHO, hopefully the big boys take care of that sooner than later.

OK, so by putting on an HKS BOV, I have replaced a 'BPV' with a BOV, correct?

I know, I'm full of questions.

It's a BOV yes but it can be made a BPV due to the ability to recirculate.

Give me a few minutes, I'm trying to upload some of my logs to show you what I am referring to. I appreciate the offer but the Dashhawk isn't able to do what I need. I need dedicated OBD II access software. You'll see what I mean once I have some logs in my album.

I need to be able to acquire this info, and about 20-30 other blocks of information before I really want to mess too much with the motor.

Hmmmm, no harm in picking his brain to see. That might be a great starting point ;-)

I'll be back in Colorado tomorrow I'll touch base with you and see what we can do.
