PS, before I forget. There are the 2 coolant lines going to the heater core from the motor. DO NOT DISCONNECT THEM AT THE FIREWALL! There are copper tubes under there and they bend really easy! The only real way to remove those lines is to slice them and peel them back. That said, they really need to be disconnected from the engine if you want to re-use them. They are dealer only parts and more than likely not on the shelf.

Any tools needed or will everything needed be there? I prefer not to bring my tools and try to sort them out afterwards.

We should have everything we need but if all else fails, Harbor Freight is only a few miles away.

Everything is pretty straight forward. 10, 12, 14mm wrenches and sockets are pretty much the norm.

Yeah, I know there are a couple oddballs for the larger bolts. Mostly they stuck with 10, 12, and 14. Makes working on the car so much easier. No need to fish for a 11, 13, or 15.

The Japanese had it figured out. It makes it so much easier to work on your car.

Definately in the top of my list of the easiest cars to work on. Frankly, after having a VW Bug, I really prefer working on the Miata.

Anyone who is interested in helping, send me a PM and I will get you my address and phone number. We are planning on starting around 9:00 AM on Sunday and should be working through the day.

If anyone has an extra floor jack and small jack stands we might need them. More for for my Miata but could come in handy in the swap. Part of the Monster Miata build is to send the K member and hubs back to be modified and this requires taking off the entire suspension. I have one jack but need two to lower the car onto the dollies. I already have the front suspension off but can't get the back off without another jack. Let me know.

I can bring a floor jack and some spare shorty stands tomorrow... Give me a call around 9AM just to remind me. PM sent with #.
