I haven't seen this discussed anywhere yet. So when I select the floor, defrost, or floor/defrost mix- my a/c compressor goes on.
Does anyone else have this problem and find it as annoying as I do?

I don't know, it just seems retarded to me:huh:.
Sometimes retarded just makes sense. But be careful not to go full retard.

What poem is that from? Is that James Joyce?

Everybody knows you never go full retard.
But yes, the a/c is supposed to kick in during defrost in order to clear the windows faster.
Does it make common sense, especially in the winter? No.
Does it work? yes. Faster than waiting for the heater to warm up.
