The install wasn't too bad. Getting the lightweight pulley on straight was the hardest part. It's fairly straight- maybe some long term wear because of the slight wobble. But it's only like a gnats ass hair off.

Spinning the OEM pulley in my hand while spinning the lightweight pulley in my hand- WOW! There is a HUGE difference in rotational inertia. The OEM pulley appears to be bullet proof- literally.

Haven't actually driven the car since it's been installed, probably won't notice a whole lot of difference. But even if it's only a small amount- they all add up. Getting rid of rotational weight is VERY important- especially on a non-turbo Protege like mine.

I now have lightweight alternator, water pump and power steering pulleys with a lightweight and underdriven crank pulley.

How much improved acceleration do you notice? Does the engine work harder at constant RPMs to keep the new pulley up to speed?

I got it from Medieval. They are a new vendor and I got it in one of the first runs directly from them. I think you can buy them at Protege Garage now.

I'm liking it. It really feels like it revs faster now. I'll probably be hitting the dyno sometime this fall- but I'll have added several power increasers by then.

neat! should be nice to compare to the dyno you got last year.
