Spinning the OEM pulley in my hand while spinning the lightweight pulley in my hand- WOW! There is a HUGE difference in rotational inertia. The OEM pulley appears to be bullet proof- literally.
Haven't actually driven the car since it's been installed, probably won't notice a whole lot of difference. But even if it's only a small amount- they all add up. Getting rid of rotational weight is VERY important- especially on a non-turbo Protege like mine.
I now have lightweight alternator, water pump and power steering pulleys with a lightweight and underdriven crank pulley.
