SSQV differences

Postby luminous2269 » Sat Feb 12, 2011 9:14

I recently purchased a 2011 MS3 and I'm looking to do a few mods to it, but I was wondering if anyone knew the differences between the HKS SSQV bov for 1st gen and 2nd gens. I ask because I know someone selling one from his 2010 MS3, but I know the part numbers are different from HKS (AZ008 vs AZ009). Any ideas?

Its a universal BPV. I got mine used and god knows what type of car it was on before. You need the adapter to be able to bolt it to the stock IC pipe. Good luck with the clip that holds it on though. Pain in the *** and kept leaking. Finally had it wielded on.

Yea, the BPV itself will be the same but the flange may be different. A 2010 is not a first gen MS3 though, so the flange should be the same as on your car.

Yeah that wouldn't make any sense between a 2010 and a 2011. I meant the BOV is coming off a 2009. I had assumed it was just the hardware included with the valve that was different, just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure. Any place to source just the flange if thats all?

After looking at some pictures I'm sure it's the same flange. Also on StreetUnit.com when you order a BPV it doesn't ask you what year your car is. It's the same flange for all MS3, MS6, and CX7. The engine itself hasn't really changed between the generations, only the body and gearing really.
