So anyone with a 6 knows about the fan control module SSB, where you turn off the car and the fan either turns on or stays on for up to a minute or two.
Well, I am now having the same problem with the wife's CX-9. It's intermittent, but it reminds me of the problems I used to have with my 6S. Bob Penkhus says there's no SSB on file about that problem, but to bring the car in before the warranty is up (6K more miles) and they'll fix it.
The CX-9 is starting to be unreliable...kind of worries me.

OK, so we took it in when it first came up, and the dealer changed out a relay, saying that was the problem.
A week after we got it back, it happened again. So we took it back again, and this time, they say it's SUPPOSED to do that. They claim there is a temperature sensor that will cause the fan to come on or stay on after shutdown if the engine is too hot. Well, I've never heard of that, and since the truck had gone about 5 miles in the cool morning air when it happened last, I highly doubt that's the problem.
So...has anyone heard of this or are they BSing me?
