Got to take the Miata out for a drive

Postby MiataJoe » Tue Jan 27, 2009 9:14

We had a few nice days last week and I had to clean out the garage because the other 2 cars are due for an Oil Change. Drove the Miata for 2 days last week and took it out of hibernation and damn it was a little rough of a ride the first day. Between the flat spots and me not dropping the tire pressure down from 40 PSI on the tires. Other than that it ran great. Now it sits under the carport with a car cover because I need my garage for the rest of the winter with other projects.
I purchased a 1977 Sears LT/10 10 HP Lawn Tractor that I going to convert into a Race Mower. This is going to be a fun project. It is ugly as hell right now but back when I was a kid in the 1970's it is about the same model year as the one I used as my main mode of transportation when I was a kid.

Nice mower. My parents have a club cadet that is around the same year but a little bigger. The thing can't be killed. We've pulled a trailer with 1000lbs in it without a problem.
