Hunting rounds. Right now I am using Winchester ballistic Silvertips and Love them. But at $45 a box its starting to get expensive.
Something close would be nice.

Give me a little time and I bet I could work up a suitable load for you. Are you keeping your brass? If not start now. Bolt or M1? Look on Midway or Cabellas or any of the other bullet seller' websites, see if you can find a bullet (168 grn soft point, ballistic tip etc.) Powder will go about 200-300 rds per pound. Primers have been high in the past couple years but is coming down in price. I would guess that primer and power will be about 5 cents a round. Your bullet will dictate the rest. A budget build should be about .20 per round. I'd be happy to have you drop by and I could teach you reloading. Lee has a kit that you could get into for about a hundred bucks for everything you would need to start loading your own rounds. As most reloaders will tell you...It doesn't cost less to reload, it allows you to shoot more with the same money.
